|
|
Hi,
is there any chance to automate the task to delete wrong email from lists (maxbulk mailer)? Or to delete from mySQL tables (remote lists)?
I use Mailer and think about to buy all products. But I need a very, very good integration between all products. And for me it seems that there are a lot of borders...
please support

| To delete wrong emails from a MaxBulk Mailer list place them all inside a file called 'DELETE' and drop it to your list loaded in the application. We will offer a similar feature for remote lists in a near future. |

| I have been using this function for years in MBM. When I receive requests for deletions they are automatically added to a delete list within MBM using an Applescript. Initially I used to be able to simply drop this "delete" list on any other list and all the email addresses from the deletion list would be taken out. For some time however, I can't remember since which version, implementing this process gives the impression that it is being executed, but no address are ever in fact deleted. In order to get it to work I have to export my "delete" list, exporting only the email addresses and then drop the newly created list onto the list where I want to delete. Do you know why this is happening and is there any chance that you could re-establsh the original functionality? |

| Is it possible the file is badly created? Perhaps with a wrong encoding? |

| In preferences I have UTF-8 universal encoding checked and it has been like that for ages to reduce several problems I had earlier with accents. Would that be the problem? |

| It should not since all our applications use UTF-8. What operating system are you using? |

| Open your file with TextWrangler and use the 'Text > Zap Gremlins' menu. Then try again. |

| I tried to Zap Gremlins but it still doesn't work. I tested it by adding an address from a valid list to my delete list. I Zapped Gremlins in the delete list and then dropped the delete list on the valid list within MBM. Once again, the process had all the appearances of functionning but at the end of the test the added address was still within both the delete list and the valid list. Something weird is going on here. |
