I've done the test and found out my ISP has blocked port 25. I understand ISPs sometimes keep port 587 open as an alternate SMTP port. Is it possible to use this alternate port with eMail Verifier (or have the option added in a future version)? Thanks.

Unfortunately it is not possible as the whole SMTP system works on port 25. All SMTP servers worldwide would have to support port 587 for eMail Verifier to work.

Appreciate the response. How about using 587 as a backup if port 25 is blocked. I.e., check using port 25, if no response or it appears blocked, try 587.

We can't do that because MTAs doesn't use alternative ports, only public servers. Also, any port could be used, not only 587.
