Hi.
Okay, now I've been using iCash for 4 days and it's been doing everything I wanted -- until I started using it for my business finances.

I try to track where my $$ is coming from in my practice, i.e., services to patients, maternity services, sales of herbs/supplements, rent from the acupuncurist & massage therapist who sublet from me, etc. So I have set up separate income accounts for each source I want to track.

When I enter a deposit that includes funds from multiple sources, I want to be able to breakout the deposit into subtotals from the various income accounts, but I find I am limited to a single origin account. I checked the user manual and thought I'd found the answer in double-clicking on the transaction and entering info into "Breakdown". Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, that will not allow me to track the information I am trying to capture as I don't see anyway to make a query that uses the "reference" field in "Breakdown".

I would think that this way of tracking sources of income would be pretty commonplace, so I suspect I am missing something. I looked at several previous topics to see it I could find an answer, but have not yet found one. Can you advise?

Have you tried to enter as many transactions as sources, select them and select the 'Transaction | Group' menu? Is it what you are looking for?

Yes! That works! Thank you. I got so focused on the buttons and icons in the iCash window that I forgot to explore the menu bar at the top of the screen. Thanks, again.[/quote]
