Incorrect balance

Hello

I have trouble with an account. In the overview page I get the wrong balance.

It shows that its 788 SEK that haven’t been checked yet. However when I select it and look at the transaction over the whole year, all transactions has been checked.

The starting balance for the account is 0.

Thanks for such a quick answer.

As I have the Swedish version I wasn’t sure of were to find the tool you mention. But I tried File > Tools > and choose something that’s called Examine. I found some errors, I choose to correct them and now it looks perfect.

However I have a question regarding this. Should I run this tool regularly to avoid similar problems? Or did this error occur because I upgraded the software?

Usually it is good to run the tool when you find problems. It recalculates everything and rebuild all indexes. I would bet your problem comes from a previous version. In fact there was a problem when moving accounts between categories, balances were not updated properly. That issue was fixed.

Hi Stanbusk

I just purchased an upgrade for version 4 of iCash and I ran in to the same problem as before.

ICash shows that I have 254 SEK unchecked on my bank account. However I have gone thru all transactions for the bank account and I can’t find any that is unchecked.

I have also run the Check Data tool that you mentioned earlier but it shows no error.

Have you performed an open query to check if you don't have any transaction far in the past or in the future?

I just found out that I previously have added a transaction for January 2008 which naturally wasn’t checked yet
