Hi, Ive just purchased this program however Im having trouble with it. Ive tried reading the various other problems that other users are having however my lack of experience in this area doesnt help. Ive uploaded 2000 addresses from an excel plain text format and run verifier. However Im getting poor results > 9.99% valid / bad 0.00% / test unsuccessful 90.01. I suppose my main problem is why are there so many unsuccessful verified emails. Im not sure what the DNS server is however I have it on default. On the verification I put my own hotmail address in sender email box instread of dummy address. Regards port 25 Im not really sure how to test. I went into terminal and tried per notes however it doesnt seem to work. Im doing something wrong... Im using Apple OS X. All help appreciated..

Regards
Logic

Indeed it can be a port 25 blocking. You can find out following the instructions listed here. Let me know about your results.

Hey thanks for reply. I tried checking on terminal however Im not sure if Im doing it correctly. I tried inputing telnetserver_url port however nothing happens. I then tried inputing telnet smtp.comcast.net 25 it then searches 204.127.200.17 a couple of times and then eventually times out. All help appreciated.

Regards
Paul

You should get something like that:
Code:

> telnet smtp.comcast.net 25
Trying 63.240.77.77...
Connected to smtp.comcast.net.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 comcast.net - Maillennium ESMTP/MULTIBOX sccrmhc13 #1

If you don't get a 220 code but a timeout it is because port 25 is blocked.

No options, if port 25 is blocked eMail Verifier will never work. Ask your ISP if they can remove the block. Some ISPs offer that option.
