My Email Verifier is a full registered latest version 3.3.1 and I have confirmed that my port 25 is working.

When I test several known good emails of friends and family that I have emailed even in the past week....Email Validator says "BAD EMAIL".

How am I supposed to trust the software with my 10,000 business customer names?

Help.

How do you know port 25 is not blocked? What do you get if you type the following in Terminal: telnet smtp.maxprog.com 25

220 ghig.pair.com ESMTP Postfix

In your email you have confirmed it is not blocked. So now we are working on putting my DNS settings into the software. I'll report back the results so this helps others.

Thanks Stan!

I got the DNS from my ISP as you said, and entered the DNS into the settings of Email Verifier and tested your email, and my own email. Both come back as "bad email". What next?

Paste here the DNS lookup response + SMTP response. You can find both on the second tab panel at the bottom.

For my own email address - the DNS Server Response says:

*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.0.1: Non-existent domain Non-authoritative answer: Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.0.1
axtell.com MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.axtell.com

By the way, I cannot find where it says SMTP response, but the "mail server" response section for both of the above emails is just blank. I get the feeling it should not be blank.

Thanks. What's next?

You get a '*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.0.1: Non-existent domain ' and a 'Non-authoritative answer: Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.0.1' errors.

Both errors come from the fact 192.168.0.1 is not a DNS server address. I am afraid you will have to insist with your ISP to get the DNS address. This is important.

Stan,

I called my ISP (Roadrunner) tech support again... they said again that that is correct. I did a cmd prmpt c:\> winipconfig
and it still shows DNS SERVER 192.168.0.1

I emailed a lot of screen shots to you. Please check those.

If you know of any other way to get it please let me know.

This is your router address. It likely contains the DNS server address. It is fine for the web and most services. eMail Verifier uses to work as well but not in your case. To fix this problem I am asking you to get that DNS server address and add it to the preferences. 192.168.0.1 *IS NOT* a DNS server address.

If they don't want to give you that number then use any of the following:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
24.29.99.81

Just to update other customers who may be having trouble, Stan was able to help me fix the problem with a public DNS number. We were not able to get either DNS server number given to me by my ISP or Email Host Tech support to work for Email Verifier.

Once I used the public DNS I tested some known good names first to make sure it was working correctly before trusting it to my customer database. The test was perfectly so I processed 10,000 emails down to 8,500 in lightening fast time.

Nice products! I've tried and bought Email Extractor and Email Verifier so far. Now I'm going to explore MaxBulk Mailer.

Thanks Stan for your great support and quick answers!
