Maxbulk version 5.6.5 takes a lot of resourses after clicking te SEND button but does not send any mail. Tried to send one message at a time but also this does not work. Returned to version 5.6.3 and this one sends all messages OK and in notime.

Windows Vista with the latest patches.

Thanks, Kees.

Between those 2 versions you have only 3 fixes:

[Fix] Quoted Printable issue due to previous 5.6.4 fix.
[Fix] Window minimum size restore to previous value because of problems on small screens.
[Fix] Signature line breaks removed on Plain Text Preview (Windows).

Nothing else. We have used the same compiler, same code and same libraries.

Stan,

First let me begin to wish everybody a healthy and good 2008.

Been busy lately so have not been able to post a reply.

Tried again and it seems that where it goes wrong is when sending HTML-messages with embedded inline pictures. Maxbulk mailer 5.6.5 locks totally after clicking the SEND-button and sending the first message.

This does not effect the versions before 5.6.5 including 5.6.4 which sends all messages without any problem.

Uninstalled Maxbulk mailer so i was able to try a clean installation this also did not effect the problem.

Windows Vista X86 (32-bit) with all patches installed.

Regards, Kees Meerkerk.

I use Vista here and don't see any problem. I can see a lot of current customers using Vista as well and I haven't received any other report so far.

Hi Stan,

Where 5.6.5 gave me problems sending the latest build sends again without any problem at all.

There must have been something in version 5.6.5 that was conflicting something on my system.

Thanks a lot for this and keep going the good work.

I am very sorry but after a couple of versions 5.6.6 and 5.6.7 without any problems the newest build is giving the exact same problem as version 5.6.5 did. The difference is that a popup appears telling that something is possible wrong with the SMTP-server. I do not understand this because version 5.6.7 sends without any problems at all.

Again a lot of system resources and unable to send mail. Back to 5.6.7 and everything OK again.

Vista Home premium with all updates until today 16-04-2008.
It must be something with the Windows version Sad .

Thanks for your time and answer.
Regards, Kees.

It looks like a problem with Windows in fact. The changes between those versions are very small and don't affect delivery at all.
