I can not seem to dredge from OS X Mail, text file (mbox), and clipboard (mbox). How is this done?

You can try dragging and dropping the file itself to eMail Bounce Handler.

Using Mac OS 10.5.
When using the Dredge Button it asks for which type of file. I chose Apple Mail.
It wants me to choose a mailbox. I Choose a file I named eMail Bounce which I have moved bounced messages from the Inbox into. I type the before mentioned box name (eMail Bounce) into the menu screen and hit return. The screen vanishes and takes me back to the eMail Bounce Handler program but never deciphers the information. I know for a fact that there is hard bounced addresses in there.
I tried to take the Mac Mail mailbox and drag and drop into the eMail Bounce Handler window and that didn't work either. Any ideas. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

You choose Apple Mail. You are then asked for the Mailbox where the bounces are gathered in Apple Mail, not a file.

Yes, I chose Apple Mail from the pull down menu. It then asked me for the maibox the bounced emailed was gathered into. I typed in the name of the mailbox. It apparently 'processed' that information but never put a list of the bounced mail into eMail Bounce Handler.

Is the Mailbox a root folder, I mean a folder not contained in another folder?

I don't know what was done in the eMail Bounce Handler upgrade but thank God it now works the way that the instructions say it is suppose to work. The MaxBulk Mailer program with the eMail Bounce Handler program is now a superb duo for creating, sending, and eliminating bounced email in a easy to use, fast method. Thanks so much for the upgrade.
By the way when dredging in eMail Bounce Handler go: Dredge-Apple Mail-'name mail box'. The mailbox can't be under 'MAILBOXES' these must be what is meant by root folders/mailboxes. You must put bounced email into a mailbox located in the 'ON MY MAC' area. Then it works.

I have set up a new mailbox under ON MY MAC called "Bounces", and tried to Dredge | From Apple Mail...

When I enter "Bounces" and press Ok button, it goes back to the Bounce Handler but nothing happens after that...I have moved all my bounced email messages to the Bounces folder.

Are you sure they are bounces?

Yes, they are all "Mail Delivery Subsystem (Returned mail)". "MAILER-DAEMON (failure notice)", etc.

Are they DSN? If they are not, is there a rule that matches the subject?

I have rules that match the subject, message...anything I can think of.

What do you mean by DSN?

A DSN is a standard bounce. They are automatically handled so no rules is needed.

I have tried here and the bounces are extracted as usual. Try to rename the folder again.

I have tried changing names, moving folders into subfolders, pretty much every combination I can think of...all with the same bounce messages in them. Still no luck.

I don't know then. It should work, it does here as usual. Are you sure the folder is a root folder? Are you using Leopard?
