Hi, again.
So far I am really liking iCash. Thanks for your assistance so far.
I have gone back a ways and read more of the Forum topics and I would like to add my vote to being able to split a transaction rather than grouping several transactions. Grouping did work, but is more time-consuming and cumbersome than splitting the way I used to do it in Quicken.
I have found a couple of problems that I have not found an answer to in the Forums as far as I have gone back and both have to do with how lists of records are displayed.
I am using iCash 3.3.3-US with a Mac iBook G3 using OS X 10.3.9.
In the Scheduler window, I see 15 columns, labeled Repeat, End, Type, Origin, Target, Amount, 7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15. It doesn't show "Beginning" and the columns are not variable widths as they are in the example pictured in the User Guide. I can change the width of the columns by one column-width, but if I do, I risk obliterating the column to the right of the one I am widening. For example, if I widen "Target", I will obliterate "Amount".
The "Contacts" window is even more problematic. That one also shows 15 columns. These are labeled Type, Address, Phone, 4, 5,. . .15. The "Name" column is missing altogether. Also, in this one I cannot widen the columns, and the "Address" column only shows the first 5 letters of the city name. Since most of my contacts for purposes of this software are in Seattle, it doesn't give me much of a clue as to who the contact is without opening it.
So, am I missing something here about how to change the functioning/display of these windows?
One last thing about the Schedular: I would like to be able to see a list of scheduled transactions listed by date for a date range. Is this possible? Or even to see a list of scheduled transactions listed by date?
Thank for creating iCash. I like it. (I bought it.)

I think your preferences are somewhat corrupt. Try to launch your document pressing Command+Option. You will be asked if you want to reset preferences. Just say yes. Once done, column sizes will be reseted to default sizes. I am not sure how you get in that state however.
About scheduler, are you looking for a kind of preview of the transactions to be added for a date range? |
