I am sending out our newsletter in Test Mode and I'm getting a Mail Delivery Failed message with an error code of 554 5.7.1

The message recipient email is the same as the sender email and I've done this in the past with no problems. The message goes through if I send it to a different email address from the recipient.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to use the ESMTP authentication?

I've tried ESMTP and followed the settings for Earthlink on your support page but I'm still getting the mail delivery failed message with the same error message (554 5.7.1 Your message failed several antispam checks (SCORING) and it was rejected…) when I send out a test delivery.

If I send it to a different, non-Earthlink email, it works fine. I worry that if I send the email out to the full list, I'm going to get all of those to Earthlink addresses back as undeliverable.

I guess your problem has to do with false positives. I recommend you to read the following page: [URL http://www.maxprog.com/site/support/us/ ... rives.html]My message never arrives despite MaxBulk Mailer says it was delivered[/URL]. It includes lots of clues in order to fix this type of problem.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to see what is triggering this with Erthlink and report back.

One other question… one of my email attempts has Undisclosed-Recipients:; in the "To" line and the Spam Check flagged it. Is there a way to change or remove that?

Yes, check the 'Singly' box in front of 'Delivery'.
