Basic question here - When I save a list, the sent status reverts to the card icon - so if I come back and add to the list, I do not have the record of which have been sent to. Is there a way to preserve the sent (paper airplane) staus indicator ?
I am sending to small groups of recipients and adding to list as I go - then in future will change status to do another mailing to the large list that has accumulated. Don't want to re-send to anyone until that time - shouldn't the Sent status remain until I change it?

Only saving the document itself preserves the statuses but it is not the way to go either.

With current v8.3.5 go to the 'Recipients' panel, load you list, click on the disclosure triangle and click on the '...' button. On the first list set the rule to 'Last Delivery Date' is earlier than today's date. On the second list set the action to 'Deactivate'. All delivered recipients should be now deactivated. Note that if you now save the list you will also save that deactivated status.

Thanks - I should have mentioned that I was pushing the save button and also saving in the file menu (that should save the document?) with no results - Status disappears...seems like a bug. If I click to close the document I get a message asking if I want to save first, and if I choose that option it does save the status, but this is annoying if I just want to switch to another recipient list.

I am using 8.3.2. I get prompts to upgrade to latest version, but download doesn't happen - just hangs there in downloading mode. I left it trying for an hour once. I have not had trouble downloading other applications etc. , so don't know what else to try.

If you save the document and open it back, all statuses are restored. If you just click on the 'Save' button nest to the list pull-down menu, only the list is saved. When you save a document statuses are saved. When you save a list the statuses are not saved. Statuses are limited to documents.
