I attach a screen shot.
The big red box covers all accounts, portfolios, assets etc.
The total value of all accounts from the big red box is shown as total balance in the upper small red box.
So the total balance represents my actual overall net worth.
In the preferences menue I can in- or exclude only bank accounts in the green box.
Excluding one from the preferences menue does reduce the total balance in the upper red box.
If I have assets accounts, i.e cars and properties, or portfolio accounts, i.e silver and bonds I cannot exclude them from the preferences menue, therefor their amounts are always included in the total balance in the upper red box.
But while assets like cars, properties, metals, bonds do represent a value it makes really sense being able to in- or exclude them from the total balance since they are not money before you sell them.
Including all accounts in the preferences->document dropbox and being able to in- or exclude each of them would make it easy to see the total balance i.e of all portfolio accounts because I could only check those. The same goes for other asset classes and of course like it is now for the cash=bank accounts. It would be kind of sorting various account types.
Sorry for my bad english but I hope I could explain why this feature would be a nice one and not only for me but for other customers as well.
