Question: Our company has been using MaxBulk Mailer for years and we cannot figure out why it stopped working? We are getting an authentication error occurred while communicating with the server. Check your account settings and try again.

The server has rejected your login because either your Account ID or Password is invalid or your account in inactive. See the server connection log for details.

Looking at the log it appears my username and password are not accepted. How do I reset them?

Answer: The authentication is the procedure by which MaxBulk Mailer identifies itself with the server. MaxBulk Mailer uses your server settings from the settings panel, the User ID and the Password. There are several authentication schemes, POP3 and ESMTP but nowadays the latter is far most common. When choosing ESMTP there are also several authentication protocols. You need to select the correct one. You will find below the settings for the most popular servers:

- Settings for AuthSMTP
- Settings for Amazon SES
- Settings for Earthlink
- Settings for Comcast
- Settings for Gmail
- Settings for Hotmail (Live)
- Settings for GoDaddy
- Settings for Yahoo!
- Settings for SBC Yahoo
- Settings for Yahoo-Verizon
- Settings for Yahoo-AT&T
- Settings for Office365
- Settings for Apple MobileMe/iCloud
- Settings for Verizon
- Settings for Bell Sympatico

If you get an error I recommend you to look at the Delivery panel, you will very likely see where the error comes from. Reading the connection log is explained here.

I recommend you to have a look at those two short videos, the first explains how to enter the server settings into MaxBulk Mailer and the second one explains how to read the MaxBulk Mailer connection log:
