Importing e-mail addresses from an Excel or a Word file

eMail Verifier was designed to use the Plain Text file format for list import and export. eMail Verifier doesn't know how to handle proprietary binary files. As a result, eMail Verifier is not able to import e mail addresses directly from a native Excel 'xls' file or a native Word 'doc' document. In order to import e mail addresses from an Excel sheet or a Word file, you need first to save it as a Plain Text file. Here is how:
		 
		  Excel
		 Open your Excel sheet.
		 Select the 'File | Save As...' menu.
		 Select 'Text (Tab delimited)' from the Format pull down menu.
		 Give a name and click on the Save button.
		 Import the resulting file with eMail Verifier.
		 
		  Word
		 Open your Word file.
		 Select the 'File | Save As...' menu.
		 Select 'Text Only with Line Breaks' from the Format pull down menu.
		 Give a name and click on the Save button.
		 Import the resulting file with eMail Verifier.
		 
		 That applies to any file saved as a proprietary binary.
