 Possibility to use several SMTP servers at once (Pro Only)
Since v3.0 MaxBulk Mailer was able to open multiple streams against a single server and send as many more e-mails at the same time than with previous versions. Well, with v5.0 we have gone one step further and now we offer you to do exactly the same but with multiple servers as well. That is, multiple streams per server and as many servers as your available internet connection bandwidth allows. All you need is at least two servers. Then just select the new 'Burst Mode' menu from the Server pull-down menu, check the servers you want to use from the list and you are done. MaxBulk will then use the servers you have selected with their corresponding settings.

 Built-in HTML and Styled Text Preview
Finally MaxBulk Mailer is able to preview HTML. You no longer need to use an external browser. Just switch to the 'Preview' panel and your HTML and Styled Text will be directly rendered. The external browser selector is still available in case you need to check your code for compatibility. That selector includes a new 'View Source' menu by the way.

 Deactivation of recipients without deletion
Deleting recipients that have unsubscribed from your newsletter is almost never a good strategy for maintaining your lists because you may add them again later accidentally. New MaxBulk Mailer v5.0 lets you deactivate unsubscribed recipients both manually or through a batch process by dropping a file named 'UNSUBSCRIBE' over your list. Unsubscribed/deactivated recipients remain on your list thus you can't add them again later. You can re-subscribe them anytime.

 Possibility to temporally merge multiple recipient lists
This is one of the most requested feature so far, a simple way to send a message to several lists at once avoiding duplicates. That new feature lets you freely merge lists removing duplicates automatically for eventually performing a delivery or saving the resulting list. All you need is at least two lists. Then just select the new 'Multiple Lists' menu from the List pull-down menu, check the lists you want to merge and you are done. If you uncheck a list, recipients are also removed from resulting list. If you select lists the recipients that belong to them will also be selected. Once you are done you can simply perform a delivery as usual or save the new list.

 Staggered deliveries of e-mails
You surely have needed to send out a message to a reduced bunch of people at once. Perhaps because you don't want to abuse your ISP server or you simply need to stagger out your deliveries over several days or sessions to avoid getting flooded with responses or bounces. That is now possible with v5.0. We've found through experience that staggering out the delivery of a message significantly increases your ability to handle responses and bounces more efficiently. This option is available from the 'Delivery panel. You can send to All (default) or to next xxx pending recipients.

 Recipient multiple edit
You can now edit a selection of recipients the same way you edit song information in iTunes. That allows you to set the common data of a group of recipients or to clear columns. Just select several entries from your list and select the 'Edit' menu. You will get displayed a new multiple edit window very similar to the one in iTunes, actually it works mostly like Apple iTunes. Only checked fields/columns will be finally updated throughout the selection. A field get checked as soon as you modify it.

 Recipient navigator
As we designed the multiple edit feature we thought that old single-entry editor should also be enhanced. We took advantage of that new design to add navigation buttons. Now you no longer need to close the editor to edit next entry! Just press back and forward buttons. Press Command or Control at the same time to increment or decrement by 10 and Shift + Command or Control for even bigger steps (list count / 25). You can also use your mouse wheel to navigate up and down through your list anywhere in the windows. That may infringe Human Interface Guidelines but it is so handy!

 Full Cc and Bcc support (Pro Only)
At first glance that feature may look weird and useless to you however it has received a lot of requests during the last two years. Cc stands for 'Carbon Copy'. It allows you to send a copy of each message to one or several addresses. Bcc stands for 'Blind Carbon Copy', it is the same as Cc but the addresses remain hidden to recipients. When we say a copy of each message we mean that for a delivery of 2,500 recipients and Cc or Bcc set to yourself you would receive 2,500 copies. In case of messages personalized with tags you would receive them as the real recipient will. That new feature is embedded with the Quick Selector so press the disclosure triangle on the left of the Lists selector pull-down menu to get it displayed.

 Advanced list export
Now you can select the columns you want to export and set their order. You can also set the separator between Tab, Comma, Colon and semicolon and the text encoding. As a result you can fully tailor the output file depending on your needs. The new Export window is far easier to use and straightforward than before.

 Recipient Import from Eudora and PowerMail (Mac Only)
As it was already available for Apple Mail and Entourage you can now also dredge PowerMail and Eudora Mailboxes. You just need to select the corresponding menu and provide the name of the mailbox as usual. MaxBulk Mailer will then extract the e-mail addresses of all the messages it finds in that mailbox. It is that simple.

 List Handling revamped
List handling has finally received a major update. It was time for it. So we have now the following new features:

- Duplication of recipients using the 'Edit | Duplicate' menu or the Option-D / Ctrl+D shortcut.

- Copy/paste of recipients between 2 lists or to same list using standard 'Edit | Copy/Paste' menus and shortcuts.

- 'Check Duplicates', 'Rename List', 'Select none' and 'Invert Selection' menus.

- Possibility to sort e-mail addresses by domain (ALT or Cmd + click on e-mail column header)

- Possibility to sort recipients by status (ALT or Cmd + click on Delivery column header)

- Support for Folder drag and drop over recipient list.

- Quick Selector now also allows to select/unselect entries in addition of activating/deactivating. (Pro only).

- 'Firstname', 'Surname' and 'Company' tags can now be renamed (Pro only).
